40cm Birds in Blossom Khadi cushion cover
Birds in Blossom Khadi cushion cover is made from pure, hand spun and hand woven unbleached cotton by a small artisan family business in Rajasthan.
Fully lined and hand woodblock printed, with a lovely backing panel in Watermelon stripe, Indigo piping and three button fastening, both sides are super pretty!
Also available in 25/45cm size too!
Irregularities in print and weave are a part of these handcrafted fabrics. We hope you'll celebrate their unique character. This completely natural, minimally processed cotton fabric even has little flecks of cotton seed within it. I love supporting this small production, and the Wabi-Sabi beauty of hand loomed 'khadi' cotton.
The Birds in Blossom pattern was imagined from sitting in the jungle countryside in Goa one hot springtime and watching Jet black Drongo birds sitting in a blossoming Kapok tree with stunning coral blooms. While the Kapok tree is in flower it has no leaves, which makes it's form all the more striking and with the silhouette of these lovely birds it was a vision that I couldn't forget!
Take good care of your lovingly made fabrics. Give a delicate cool machine wash, hang dry and warm iron.
